Lasting Transformation was established as a partnership between experienced strategic leaders Shān Nicholas and Susie Parsons and is now run by Shān Nicholas.
Shān Nicholas and Susie Parsons had been colleagues since 1987. Working for the London Borough of Hackney, one of the toughest areas in local government in the 1980s, they launched a prestigious series of lectures, Inner City Focus, introduced a ground-breaking quality improvement process into the Council and led the public relations strategy, which won the Government’s City Challenge for Hackney, generating grants of £38 million and unlocking investment of several hundred million pounds.
Shān Nicholas
Shān Nicholas has worked as a Chief Executive since 2005 and is a highly experienced interim manager and consultant. She has been interim Chief Executive of several charities spanning the voluntary sector including United Response, Toynbee Hall, The Children's Society and the Refugee Council. She also undertakes a range of consultancy assignments, is a mentor to Chief Executives and Directors and supervises Lasting Transformation Associates. Shān is also a partner in a number of property related businesses and is listed in Who's Who.
Susie Parsons (1950 – 2015)
Susie Parsons was a successful leader and strategic thinker, whose highly developed interpersonal, communication and management skills had been demonstrated in a career spanning the voluntary and public sectors, local government and the health service. She was a former Chief Executive of the Commission for Racial Equality, London Lighthouse and the Campaign for Learning. Susie died suddenly in 2015 but was and remains an inspiration to many.
